The CARE Program: Caregiver Advocacy & Resiliency Experience
A free, two-day training program for parents and caregivers of a child or adolescent with mental health needs. This program prepares caregivers to be better advocates for their child and all children and youth with specific needs. Learn about leadership, advocacy, special education, self-care, and more!
Enjoy learning in the company of families just like yours, with overnight accommodations and meals provided. A stipend will be retroactively provided to help with travel and childcare costs (childcare and transportation not provided).
If you’ve ever thought:
- I am so confused about how to get help, where do I go now?
- You’ve been through it all finding help for your child.
- That no other family should go through what we’ve been through.
Then the CARE Program is for you! Space in the event is limited, to ensure that you are a good fit and can commit to the experience, please complete the application to be considered. Participants will be accepted and notified on a rolling basis.
Programming will take place starting Friday, August 15th at 5pm, through Saturday, August 16th at 4pm, and attendance for the program’s entirety is expected. The program will be held in Central Maryland, near BWI, with the specific address given to accepted applicants. If you prefer to speak to us to apply, please call and leave a voicemail: 443-901-1555.
