Does it cost money to sign up as a Champion?
No, becoming a Champion is 100% FREE. However, Champions may choose to pay for costs associated with awareness events or activities they are hosting.
Who should be a Champion?
ANYONE! Our Champions are a vibrant network of passionate: advocates, individuals, family members, educators, students, school administrators, businesses, non-profits, government agencies, government officials, service providers, and community leaders.
Do I need to register as a Champion each year?
Yes, Champions must register each year; enrollment is not automatic if you have been a Champion in prior years.
What is the benefit to being a Champion?
There are many, here are a few:
- Receive news and updates about the campaign first
- Invited to Champion Rallies which provide training, campaign tips and connection to other Champions for ideas, including chances to win swag!
- Special discounts at the CMHM Merch Store
- Free outreach materials for your events as available.
- Recognition on our website as a Champion
- Ability to use CMHM Champion logo on your website/social media, etc.
- Electronic toolkit with valuable information to improve mental health awareness in your community
- Invitations to share feedback about Campaign activities and improvement opportunities
- Invitations to Champion recognition events
When should I sign up?
Children’s Mental Health Matters all year long, so you should sign up as soon as possible, look for sign-ups every January and plan to be a Champion all year long!
How hard is it to be a Champion?
It can be as easy as you want! The easiest way is to follow us on social media and share our posts, or add information about the Campaign to your email signature. Interested in doing more? Consider hosting an awareness event or organizing a wellness day in your community. Our team is available to help you brainstorm ideas!
