Dear 2020 Champions of the Children’s Mental Health Matters! Campaign,
We are thrilled to announce that there are 576 schools and 175 community organizations that have signed on to help raise awareness around the importance of children’s mental health across the state of Maryland! Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we work together to support children in their homes, schools, and communities as our world faces a crisis that continues to unfold daily, leaving each of us—young and old, in a state of questioning, increased stress, and anxiety.
The Children’s Mental Health Matters! Campaign is supporting all public health efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and has therefore decided to move this year’s Campaign efforts to a completely digital format. At this time, we will not be distributing our printed awareness materials or event kits. That said, we are dedicated to seeing awareness week through and encourage you to participate as you are able! The Campaign will share ways to participate digitally, which you can then share with the families, children, and communities you serve. Please follow us on social media, where we will keep you up to date and on our website. Connect to us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
We also encourage you to still sign up if you have not yet. This will give you access to all of the Campaign’s resources and awareness week information. We have created a list of resources related to COVID-19, which is continually updated and we encourage you to use and share.
Lastly, please know that our response to communication may slow down as we navigate these changes. If you have ideas on how we can support your students or community, please reach out to Tiffany Thomas at email@example.com.
Please remain happy, healthy, and hopeful – and remember, Children’s Mental Health Matters!
